Sydney is part of Baird’s Davenport branch, contributing to their many years of experience. Following in the footsteps of her father and partner, she is dedicated to understanding her clients' vision for the future and helping make their goals a reality. Sydney and her team monitor each of their client’s plans closely, continuously making adjustments as lives and markets evolve. Her areas of expertise include retirement planning, goal setting, tracking set goals, next generation advising, and wealth management for women and health care professionals.
Sydney began her career at Baird in 2016 as a PWM intern. She quickly recognized an opportunity to merge her entrepreneurial spirit and passion for finance with the prospect of helping others achieve their financial goals.
Sydney attended the Tippie College of Business at The University of Iowa, where she graduated with a B.B.A. in Finance and a Leadership Studies Certificate.
After graduating from the University of Iowa, Sydney Joined Baird as a full time employee. During this time she studied Baird’s available resources and services to help clients plan for and navigate their financial lives. Sydney holds her FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses, and life, health, and long term care insurance licenses.
Sydney currently resides in Davenport with her husband, Dr. Blain Samuelson and their son, Banks. Outside of work, Sydney is involved in Trinity's health foundation, the LPGA of the Quad Cities, the YWCA, Tippie College of Business’s Women in Business mentoring program, Junior Achievement, and Dress for Success. Sydney enjoys playing games with her family, traveling to see her friends in Iowa City and Chicago, watching golf, playing golf, and following women's basketball.
